Blush and Pudsey get a Doctor Who makeover for this year’s BBC Children in Need
This year Doctor Who’s long-standing association with the charity BBC Children in Need reaches a whole new level. As well as the anthology book Doctor Who: Adventures in Lockdown, which will be in aid of the charity, there are going to be special Doctor Who themed bears to collect! Pudsey and Blush will both be pulling on their Doctor Who cosplays to come home with you for time travel adventures! And the monies raised will be going towards the total for the BBC One telethon next month.
Children in Need has been collecting money with a BBC charity appeal to support children’s projects across the UK since 1927. And since 1985, Pudsey Bear has been their official mascot. From that point on Pudsey themed merchandise has been an important part of the charity’s fundraising. But this year it’s out of this world. Pudsey will be available as a special limited edition Tenth Doctor teddy bear.
But that’s not all. Since 2007 Pudsey has been joined by another bear called Blush and she’s part of the fun too, with her own special Thirteenth Doctor edition.
Both teddy bears are strictly limited edition. They’ll be made to order, shipping in Spring 2021. And these are 2020 exclusives, that won’t be available again. So if you want to avoid missing out, you need to be sure to place your order before the 30th of November.
