Whovians opened their hearts and wallets in spectacular fashion at the recent Doctor Who Propstore auction, raising an incredible £245,243 for BBC Children in Need!
The charity auction, which wrapped up yesterday evening, was the biggest Doctor Who auction to date with more than 2,000 dedicated fans and collectors from around the globe competing for over 170 lots of iconic props, costumes, and memorabilia from our beloved sci-fi series.
Top-Selling Treasures
Some of the most sought-after items fetched eye-watering sums, with the screen-matched Traitor Dalek leading the pack at a whopping £16,380 (including buyer’s premium). The Mondasian Cyberman Costume and Parts wasn’t far behind, selling for £15,120.
Other notable sales included:
- A screen-matched “An Adventure in Space and Time” TARDIS: £12,600
- Stonehenge Cyberman Photo-matched Head: £10,540
- Thirteenth Doctor’s (Jodie Whittaker) Costume: £9,920
Tommy Nagra, Director of Content at BBC Children in Need, expressed delight at the results: “The Doctor Who family have been long-time friends of the charity and we are so thrilled to see them come together once again to support BBC Children in Need, raising almost a quarter of a million to make lives lighter for children and young people all across the UK.”

Meanwhile, Vanessa Hamilton, Doctor Who Brand Director at BBC Studios, added: “We’re so incredibly proud of the results of this auction and to support BBC Children in Need. It’s amazing to be able to share parts of Doctor Who with the fan community, and we hope they enjoy owning a piece of TV history.”
Propstore Praise
Propstore CEO Stephen Lane was equally chuffed with the auction’s success: “It’s been incredibly heartwarming to see fans from around the world come together, united by their love for Doctor Who and their generosity in supporting BBC Children in Need. From Doctors to Daleks, the dedication and passion of Doctor Who fans supporting this auction has been second to none.”

More Whoniverse Wonders on the Way
For our American friends who missed out on the auction excitement, there’s still a chance to experience some Whoniverse magic when the Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder: Where Science Meets Fiction exhibit opens at the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego on 15th March.
It’s brilliant to see the Doctor Who community come together for such a fantastic cause. Which prop or costume would you have loved to get your hands on? Let us know in the comments below!
All auction prices mentioned include buyer’s premium. Net proceeds donated to Children in Need are the hammer price after costs and auction house fees are deducted.
