Right now, in the Light Cinema in Sheffield the cast and crew of Doctor Who are revealing their months of work to the world (or to the press, at least). Meanwhile, those fans lucky enough to be there in person have been sharing their excitement with Twitter.

Blogtor Who have rounded up some of our favourite reactions across the Doctor Who fandom to the premiere of The Woman Who Fell to Earth.

Cosplayer Georgia Grace was quick to assemble her Thirteenth Doctor costume as soon as Whittaker’s look was revealed. Now she can’t believe the big day is finally here.

Eleventh Doctor cosplayer Kai Steele Nelson was all about the new look TARDIS.

In fact, the new TARDIS prop generated a lot of praise and happiness on Twitter. (Perhaps the TARDIS was wounded by the First Doctor’s comments last Christmas and decided to lose a little weight). Much of it in language so excited we couldn’t possibly repeat it on a family blog. Will gave one of the more family friendly reactions.

Jodie Whittaker wowed the fans with her warmth and friendliness

Everyone seemed to agree that Jodie Whittaker was adorable and spent a huge amount of time making sure every fan got an autograph or a selfie.

In fact, Amy was left speechless by meeting her Doctor Who idol

Sheffield was seized by a party atmosphere as fans met each other and shared their joy at the series’ return

The Pre-Premiere Red Carpet event trended on Twitter as ecstatic guests prepared to be among the first in the world to see The Woman Who Fell to Earth

With the Premiere trending on Twitter, Elliot Taylor was delighted to see BBC Studios’ skillful promotion paying off

A lot of the attendees, like Dr. Doo, shared photos of their fancy gold wristbands for access to the screening

And then it was time! Ri McDaid-Wren tweeted one last photo of the dynamic new promo art on the big screen before switching off for the screening of The Woman Who Fell to Earth.

But, finally, let’s spare a thought for Dave. Sheffield’s been taken over by crowds of celebrities and fans. But he doesn’t even like Doctor Who. Poor Dave.

The wait is almost over for the rest of the world too…
