It’s certainly all go on the Doctor Who front today with yet more news – companion news this time, following more from the Radio Times.

In a new interview Peter Capaldi, the current twelfth Doctor has given us some teasers about the new companion, a replacement for Jenna Coleman, who left the TARDIS during season 9.

“The search is going pretty well. I think you’ll know fairly soon, where we are with all that”. I don’t know whether they would be involved in the Christmas special because it’s so specific, the story we’re doing with the companion”.

There has been lots of speculation, right from the moment Jenna left about who would take her place at Peter’s side. From well known established stars to completely new faces including Eastenders actress Rakhee Thankrar who seems to be the hot favourite on the web at the moment.

But that was all we are getting, Peter was giving away nothing more.

Doctor Who returns to our screens this Christmas before a new full series in 2017, the last for current showrunner Steven Moffat, who announced his departure earlier this year.
