The announcement of Daleks! completes the timeline of content which due to be released on a weekly basis from now until early 2021. This complex multi-Doctor story will be told across a wide array of platforms, from novels and audio dramas to escape rooms and immersive live theatrical events, with fans being able to pick and choose which aspects of the story they want to engage with.

Set during the Dark Times at the very beginning of the universe, Time Lord Victorious will feature the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Doctors as they defend their home planet from a terrible race. Fans can also expect appearances from companion Rose Tyler, along with the Daleks and Ood.

Daleks! will feature a star-studded cast of voice actors, including the current voice of the Daleks himself, Nicholas Briggs.

Briggs has said of the series, “This latest, fantastic, thrill-packed venture into the world of animation, with the Daleks as the stars of the show, is something so many of us have been craving for years. And for me it’s been a marvellous challenge, as usual playing every single Dalek in action, but with the added excitement of portraying some beautifully written, leading Dalek characters. It’s been a blast, and I can’t wait to see the finished production.”

Starring alongside Briggs will be Youtuber and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Joe Sugg, who has said, “I’m super excited and thankful to have been invited to play a role in this new animation. I’ve been a fan of Doctor Who from a young age so to be a part of it is a dream come true.”

Daleks! will also see the return of two other familiar voices from the Doctor Who universe in the form of Anjli Mohindra and Ayesha Antoine. Fans will no doubt recognise Mohindra from her previous roles as Rani Chandra in The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as the Skithra Queen in recent television story ‘Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror’. Antoine will also be recognisable from to her previous appearance as student Dee Dee Blasco in Series 4’s ‘Midnight’.

Anjli Mohindra has said of her role, “When I saw that this series was about THOSE iconic villains I knew it was going to be one hell of a ride and I couldn’t wait to sign up!! I had so much fun being thrown into the wonderfully weird world of remote recording and so thrilled that I was able to be part of something that feel so special!”

Ayesha Antoine has added, “I have never been more fascinated to see the final product of a show. To be a part of the animated story of these iconic baddies is really special. The recording session was a whole new adventure – another surreal moment to add to the growing list from 2020.”
