Doctor Who has made it through to this year’s final nominations of the 2016 National Television Awards (NTA’s), as voted for by YOU. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony hosted by Dermot O’Leary at the O2 Arena in London on 20th January 2016, along with a broadcast on ITV1.

But this is no walk in the park for this long-running sci-fi show whose nomination for Best Drama sits alongside another long-running BBC show Casualty, ITV’s Downton Abbey which saw its final ever episode on Christmas Day and the phenomenon that is ITV’s Broadchurch starring ex-time lord David Tennant. Tennant is also nominated for Best Drama performance for his role as DI Alec Hardy in said Broadchurch.

To have your say go the National Television awards website. Voting closes on the 20th January. And if you would like to be in the audience on this night full of stars, tickets are still available.

  1. Well, that’s good news! Something horribly wrong if Who doesn’t at least make NTAs. Give Capaldi every award for this year’s Doctor Who! Loved it.
