The gift set includes over 70 hours of Doctor Who in all and also includes hours and hours of bonus features including 3 new specials coming to DVD for the first time ever, a collectible Eleventh Doctor Sonic Screwdriver, 3 original art cards and the comic book, Doctor Who at Comic Con.

3. If they wanted it to be special and different. It would be Blu-Ray since there's currently no BR release of the 9th and most of the 10th Doctor. (Assuming they were filmed in sufficient resolution anyway).

Gavin: Series 1-4 weren't shot in HD, so a Bluray release would look terrible.
