Once, Upon Time, the survivors at the end of the universe meet on a planet that shouldn’t exist
The BBC have now revealed the title of episode three of Doctor Who: Flux. They’ve also confirmed the broadcast time, synopsis and duration. Chapter Three will be called Once, Upon Time, airing on BBC One at 6.30pm on the 14th of November, with a duration of 49 minutes. The punning title removes the ‘a’ from the traditional phrase, suggesting that Time itself is the subject of the episode.
And you can read the official, but rather brief, synopsis, below:
Doctor Who: Flux – Chapter Three: Once, Upon Time
“Time is beginning to run wild”. On a planet that shouldn’t exist, in the aftermath of apocalypse, the Doctor, Dan, Yaz and Vinder face a battle to survive.
The rather guarded style will be familiar to any regular watchers of binge-friendly serials. In this case, it’s clearly trying to avoid revealing too much about events in War of the Sontarans. However, based on what it does tell us, Blogtor Who can only guess that the Flux continues its destruction of everything in its path unabated. And perhaps the title carries with it another hint. Will we get some flashbacks to explain the Doctor’s forgotten relationship to Swarm and Azure?

Doctor Who: Flux continues this Sunday at 6.10pm on BBC One, and on BBC America in the US, with Chapter Two: War of the Sontarans
The Doctor has an unexpected encounter with one of her deadliest enemies when the Sontarans become a new faction in the Crimean War. As the British army goes into pitched battle with the warlike aliens, the Doctor and her companions seek the help of renowned nurse Mary Seacole (Sara Powell), while an ancient temple hides mysterious secrets.
