Next year’s touring exhibition of Doctor Who props, costumes and sets kicks off in Liverpool with tickets now on sale
Tickets are now on sale for Doctor Who: Worlds of Wonder, the new exhibition from the creators of the Doctor Who Experience. Worlds of Wonder will illustrate real world science with actual props, sets and costumes from the show. The installation will tour around the UK and eventually the world, but the first stop is Liverpool. The city’s World Museum will host Doctor Who from the 27th of May until the 30th of October. And for World Museum members, tickets are available to book now from the World Museum, at £14 for adults, £8 for children and £13 on concession. Tickets will also go on sale for the general public on Friday.
The exhibition features eight zones on different aspects of Who science
The eight zones set within this educational exhibition cover a diverse selection of exciting scientific topics. All while drawing in content pieces from across the Doctor Who universe.
Visitors can journey through Cosmic Curiosities. And in the TARDIS Tech room, they’ll discover more about the time traveling Police Box. And along the way they’ll learn about the science behind time travel and whether it is really possible. Or visit the Monster Vault to get up close with some of the weird and wonderful characters that have graced our screens.
The user journey for this engaging experience will take approximately 90 minutes, though visitors can stay as long as they need.
Liverpool is a natural launchpad for Worlds of Wonder. The home of new companion Dan Lewis, it’s where the action begins in Series 13. And it’s been the centre of the promotion for the new series, with a Sontaran ship projected into the sky and video billboards glitching with messages from the Doctor, and an 0800 to call the Doctor herself. Where the exhibition moves on after Liverpool has yet to be revealed.
