It is now certain. The Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) is going to be making more use of the Tardis’ wardrobe room than any of the previous Doctors. The BBC has released yet another set of photos.
The mysterious character portrayed by Jonathan Groff is already on set filming. Ruby (Millie Gibson) and the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) first meet up in what looks like England’s past. A bit of the Bridgeton ton, dare we say.
While the 60’s swinging photos previously released showed a suit with a bit 10th / 14th Doctor’s look. But in these shots, the Doctor has a bit of Jon Pertwee’s velvet jackets.
Wonder if that trend will continue? We would love to see Patrick Troughton’s fur coat from The Abominable Snowman. Man-made fur, of course.
Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will then air over the festive period.
Doctor Who will premiere exclusively on the BBC for the UK and Ireland and Disney+ for those who live outside of the UK and Ireland.
