One of Pam Downe’s earliest, and most iconic, jobs was designing costumes for Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, including the Doctorish Maquis de Carabas (Patterson Joseph) Hunter, in form fitting, one piece, sleeveless armour, and carrying a spear, stands with the Marquis (the front half of his hair cut short and bleached blond, the back grown out in dark dreadlocks, with goatee) is dressed in a black leather riding coat, 18th century style shirt, waitcoat, and hosphurs, and Matthew, in ragged old jumper, all on the platform of a dirty looking tube station.
