The Diamond Anniversary celebrations continues in December with a range of merchandise devoted to the Second Doctor

Doctor Who’s 60th Anniversary celebrations are continuing at Forbidden Planet as their Diamond Collection expands. Each month features a host of merchandise for a different Doctor and it all this month it’s the turn of Patrick Troughton: the Second Doctor. The collection features a range of products including t-shirts, sweatshirts, coasters, badges, mugs and art prints. All featuring attractive new art devoted to the cosmic hobo.

It also features a selection of alternate designs to choose from. These include a classic full length portrait of Troughton alongside the iconic 1967-1969 title sequence; one of the Second Doctor’s most iconic quotes – “There are some corners of the universe that have bred the most terrible things…” from The War Games; the Doctor’s common exclamation – “Oh my word!” and a recreation of the classic War Games map of the different war zones.

In the New Year the fun continues as the 60th Anniversary year begins in earnest and January brings the Jon Pertwee era to the Diamond Collection. The full list will be revealed next month, but we do know it includes a colourful “Reverse the Polarity of the Neutron Flow!” mug! And the collection will continue to grow throughout the year, with a new Doctor being added to the range every month.
