The calendar celebrates the elaborate tapestry of Doctor Who’s history. There are images right the way from The Daleks (1963/4) to Eve of the Daleks (2022). Companions all the way from the original TARDIS team members Susan and Ian to the present day Fam of Yaz and Dan are here too. Meanwhile there are monsters from every era. These include the Sensorites (1964’s The Sensorites), Roger Delgado’s Master (1971-1973), Dratho (The Trial of a Time Lord, 1986), the Haemovores (1989’s The Curse of Fenric), the Slitheen (2005’s Aliens of London/World War Three and Boom Town), the Ood (2006-2021), the Silence (2011-2021), Missy (2014-2018) and Swarm (2021’s Flux). Plus many more.

Explore sixty years of Doctor Who in twelve months with images from across the show’s epic history

So you can walk the fast path through six decades of Doctor Who history in twelve months. As a bonus, as far as Blogtor can tell there aren’t any of the official calendar’s trademark mistakes this year. It’s become almost a tradition for it to feature oddities like Tom Baker’s Doctor alongside Julian Bleach’s Davros representing Genesis of the Daleks, or a quote from Master being misattributed to the Third Doctor. But this year there are no mistakes to spot! It’s almost a shame.
