
Australian broadcaster ABC have confirmed that they will premiere the new Doctor Who spin-off ‘Class’ in October.
The first outing will come on their free internet TV service iview on the 22nd October, the same day as the UK followed by a further showing on the 24th October on national public television channel ABC2.
It’s a new term at Coal Hill Academy, and students are preparing for their Autumn Prom. But when the school comes under attack, four alienated students must form an unlikely alliance to defeat them. And this incursion is only the beginning.
This new young adult drama from Patrick ness stars Greg Austin, Sophie Hopkins), Fady Elsayed and Vivian Oparh, assisted by their physics teacher Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly) who are charged with a great responsibility by the mysterious alien known as the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) to guard against the creatures of nightmare that wants nothing more than to find a way through to Earth and take it for their own.

Episode 1 and 2 will premiere in the UK on BBC Three on Saturday 22nd October. Current Doctor Who Peter Capaldi will be making a guest appearance in episode 1. Canadian broadcaster Space reported that they will also premiere the 8-part show on the same day as the UK while BBC America stated that they will not air the young adult drama till 2017 alongside series 10 of Doctor Who.
