The Royal Television Society have revealed the nominations for their CRAFT & DESIGN AWARDS 2016.
Included in the Effects – Special category are Doctor Who special effect creators, Real SFX and Millennium FX for the work on series 9.
This new nomination follows the teams recent win at the BAFTA Cymru awards in October.
They are joined in the category by Pau Costa Moeller for ‘The Night Manager’ and Jens Doeldissen & Darius Cicenas at Film Effects for War & Peace. All 3 nominees in this categories are BBC created dramas.
‘The Night Manager’ and ‘War and Peace’ received 4 nominations each while Channel 4’s dark comedy ‘Flowers’ received 3. Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories and the wonderful BBC drama, ‘Doctor Foster’ also receive nods for Drama – Editing.
This year awards will be given for Design, Make-Up Design, Costume Design, Production Design, Effects, Photography, Lighting and Multicamera, Sound, Editing and Music. There will also be three further Awards given for Design & Craft Innovation, Judges’ and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The Awards will be presented on November 28th at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
