The Doctor is back and back on BBC Children in Need. On Friday, 18th November during the broadcast of the annual BBC Children in Need’s Appeal Show, BBC One will play an exclusive clip from this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special

The sneak peak features Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Matt Lucas who is returning as Nardole. The pair team up with an investigative reporter (Charity Wakefield) and a masked superhero (Justin Chatwin) to save New York City from an alien invasion.

“The Return of Doctor Mysterio”, written by Steven Moffat and directed by Ed Bazalgette (Poldark), airs on Christmas day. Also appearing in the episode are Adetomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Hoffman.
Doctor Who is filmed in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock Studios. The show is Executive Produced by Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin and produced by Peter Bennett.
