Folks have been (as usual) bashing Moffat about Deep Breath and worrying about whether the scripts this year are any good. I take a lot of stock in what Capaldi, an experienced actor, Oscar-winning director, and of course Whovian since 1963, says when he talks about how the scripts are so strong and do not require any "damage control" on the part of the actors. Remembering this is the guy who pushed for the "no flirting" thing. I think this should be taken as an indication of the quality of what is to come.
