The Radio Times are currently listing the final episode of Doctor Who Series 8, Death In Heaven, as having a running time of 60 minutes. Rachel Talalay, the episode’s director, confirms the longer than normal running time with this tweet:
I think I can and say that ep. 12 is longer than a standard episode, but not cinema-length.

UPDATE: The BBC have confirmed that the episode is an hour long.

Death In Heaven is due to air on BBC One on Nov 8 at 8pm. For more pics, clips and news from the Doctor Who Series 8 finale, click HERE.

  1. Excellent! There we go, there's our thirteenth episode, then. Thirty minutes on Deep Breath, fifteen minutes on Death in Heaven. Series isn't shorter, just… more of it happening at once!
