Included for your viewing pleasure here is David Tennant in his very first television appearance. The Secret of Croftmore was broadcast in 1988 as part of the children’s series Dramarama. The quality is not the best I’m afraid and I expect this to get removed pretty quickly – so enjoy it while you can!

PLEASE NOTE:
Those of you in the UK can see it in the STV’s YouTube HERE

  1. Thanks for this. It's a nice little story, and it sent me reading a little Scottish history according to Wikipedia. I'm glad that over the course of the story, DT's character gets over being such a jerk.

  2. Does anyone know what the theme song is? If it's a traditional Scottish song, that is – I am guessing that it might be.

  3. what a wonderful scottish accent he has. too bad he had to cover it up in the dr. who series. thanks so much for the gem!

  4. Thanks so much! I have wanted to see this for such a long time….what a beautiful story…makes me think of my ancestors who left Scotland because of the Highland Clearances. Nice to see David too at only 17 years of age.
