David Tennant and Georgia Tennant will star in Hide – a new take on the Jekyll and Hyde story

They famously met filming Doctor Who episode The Doctor’s Daughter, and starred together in two seasons of lockdown comedy Staged. But real life married couple David Tennant and Georgia Tennant have now revealed their next project together. They are leading the cast for Hide, a new drama for NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform, while also serving as executive producers.

Hide is described as a conspiracy thriller including elements of Jekyll and Hyde. The drama begins with Tennant as a discredited journalist trying to rebuild his reputation. Stumbling upon what might be the biggest story of his career, he is caught up in an accident with unforeseeable consequences. He’s soon the run from the shadowy figures behind the conspiracy. But he’s also horrified as the people around him begin to die in violent and mysterious ways. And so the journalist begins to suspect his opponents may not be the only monsters in this story…

The Hide team are yet to announce Georgia Tennant’s character and the rest of the cast. We do know the drama reunites David Tennant with director Julie Anne Robinson, who gave him one of his first major roles in 2004’s Blackpool. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are writing the new show. The two have previously written and produced genre shows like Agent Carter, Dollhouse, and Reaper.

Hide joins a busy slate for David Tennant, including Around the World in 80 Days, Inside Man, and Good Omens

Hide is just the latest project in a busy 2021 schedule for David Tennant. He’s already currently working on a second series of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens, in which he plays the demon Crowley. Meanwhile filming has also begun on Inside Man from Steven Moffat, in which he plays a small town vicar who may have a sinister secret. And his turn as Phineas Fogg in the latest adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days recently finished filming and is due to arrive on BBC One later this year.
