The BBC has just announced that David Suchet will guest star in Doctor Who series 10.

Suchet will feature as The Landlord alongside Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor and new companion by Pearl Mackie in an episode written by Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster).

Many will recognise Suchet from his role as Belgium sleuth Hercule Poirot in the ITV series – ‘Agatha Christie’s Poirot’. Following the shows success, Suchet received a British Academy of Film and Television Arts nomination.

David Suchet has had a long career in TV and theatre. Featuring as the Duke of York in The Hollow Crown’s Richard II. More recently in the Royal Shakespeare Companies celebration – Shakespeare Live! From the RSC hosted by Tenth Doctor David Tennant. Other film and television appearances include ‘The Bank Job’, ‘NCS Manhunt’ and the TV mini-series ‘Going Postal’.

Other guest stars officially announced are Matt Lucas in a return as Nardole and British actor and comedian Ralf Little.

Doctor Who is a BBC Cymru Wales produced drama for BBC One. It will return in December 2016 with a Christmas Special, followed by the new series in 2017.
