In the Evac Tower, the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) explains to Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) why he’s making a phone call to no one in particular. This is just before Amy sees the mysterious Eye Patch Lady in the wall, while the Doctor’s Ganger observes them.
The second in a two-parter, The Almost People aired on this day in 2011. It involved Smith playing two roles, donning prosthetic makeup for the Doctor’s Ganger.
