The popular range of Doctor Who figurines continues next year with two special releases

Hero Collector, the Eaglemoss imprint for miniature figurines has announced two new collections sets early next year. Each will be focused around the theme of companions and literally span the entire history of Doctor Who. All the way from the First Doctor to the Thirteenth.

One features the original TARDIS crew from 1963, with scale models of the First Doctor himself alongside his granddaughter Susan and schoolteachers Ian and Barbara too. Moreover, the figures are recreations of their appearances from the very first episode, An Unearthly Child. Right down to details like Barbara’s massive handbag! The First Doctor Companion Set will be released in February 2020.

Meanwhile, the other set puts a spotlight on the current TARDIS fam, as featured on screen in 2020. The Thirteenth Doctor is recreated in her look from The Tsuranga Conundrum and Demons of the Punjab. (A costume that can also be spotted in the Series 12 trailer). Yaz and Graham, meanwhile, wear their outfits from It Takes You Away. And finally Ryan is depicted as seen in The Ghost Monument. The Thirteenth Doctor Companion Set will be available in January 2020.

Each set comes packaged with its own special magazine looking at the characters and stories

Each set’s four figurines are perfectly rendered in hand-painted polyresin at 1:21 scale (approximately 3.5 inches tall). They also come with a magazine packed with details behind each character’s time in the TARDIS. These special magazines will include interviews, photographs, and also a look back at some of their best-loved stories.

The sets will be available direct from Hero Collector and your favourite retailer. They join Hero Collector’s ongoing line of 1:21 Doctor Who figurines, which explores aliens, monsters, robots, humans and Doctors from over five decades of classic science fiction TV.

Meanwhile, the team at Hero Collector suggest that this is just the beginning of their plans for 2020 and to keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
