Series 12 will be yours to take home only two weeks after this weekend’s epic finale. And now the gorgeous Steelbook art has been revealed

The release of the Doctor’s latest adventures on DVD, Blu-Ray and Steelbook was announced some months back. But with much of the appeal of the limited edition Steelbook editions being the slim case and exclusive cover art, it’s noteworthy that the art for the Doctor Who The Complete Twelfth Series steelbook has now been revealed.

The Steelbook is a limited edition release exclusive to Amazon. As with most of the Doctor Who Steelbook line it features beautiful, painted style art in contrast to the normal publicity images. While previous steelbook art has been from the likes of Sophie Cowdrey and Alice X Zhang, the artist for Series 12 is as yet uncredited. But Blogtor Who will update you as soon as we know where you should direct your praise. The interior of the steelbook shows the standard Series 12 ‘Space for All’ promotional image.

The Steelbook is scheduled to be released on the 16th of March, the same date as the DVD and standard Blu-ray editions of Doctor Who: The Complete Twelfth Series hit shelves. The Steelbook is priced at £49.99, the standard Blu-ray at £39.99 and the DVD at £34.99.

In the meantime, you can strap yourself in for the epic finale of Series 12 this weekend. And then count down the fifteen days until you can watch it all again on disc.

Doctor Who Series 12 concludes at the earlier time of 6.50pm next Sunday with The Timeless Children

In the epic and emotional series finale, the Cybermen are on the march. As the last remaining humans are ruthlessly hunted down, Graham, Ryan and Yaz face a terrifying fight to survive. Civilisations fall. Others rise anew. Lies are exposed, truths are revealed, battles are fought, and for the Doctor — trapped and alone — nothing will ever be the same again.

Series 12 stars Jodie Whittaker (The Doctor), Bradley Walsh (Graham), Mandip Gill (Yaz) and Tosin Cole (Ryan), with Chris Chibnall as Showrunner and Matt Strevens Executive Producing. Ascension of the Cybermen guest stars Sacha Dhawan (The Master), Patrick O’Kane (Ashad), Julie Graham (Ravio), Patrick O’Kane (Ashad), and Nicholas Briggs (Voice of the Cybermen). It’s written by Chris Chibnall, and directed by Jamie Magnus Stone (Spyfall Part One, Praxeus, Ascension of the Cybermen)
