REVIEW: The Girl Who Waited [SPOILER~FREE]

  1. I was very interested in the synopsis for CLOSING TIME. I think that this Doctor might be the 1103 year old one and not the one that was in the diner. Maybe in an earlier episode there is a switch, we can't have the 909 year old Doctor die on the beach when it is his older self that does. And I remember seeing in a promo pic, (not on this site) the Doctor in his Stetson opening the TARDIS. Don't know if it is from this episode or not. This is what makes DOCTOR WHO so interesting, keeps us on our toes.

  2. I think he's lying about his age when he says he's 1103. Maybe to keep them from panicking, or perhaps giving them some sort of hit.

But I do think that the whole thing with the stetson goes deeper than the 10 seconds it was shown in Impossible Astronaut.

  3. I've been thinking, ever since he said it, they would never cover 200 years of the doctors life. Maybe the number is a code of some kind. Maybe it is the flesh or some other kind of duplicate, and he has lived for that long when he meets them. Or maybe it's a trick, and the reasons for fooling them will only come to light at the end. But obviously The Doctor can't die, it's just not going to happen… Is it?
