Actor Douglas Wilmer made a cameo in tonight’s Sherlock finale, The Reichenbach Fall. Wilmer played the Baker Street sleuth in the BBC Sherlock Holmes series from 1964-5. The 92 year old actor features in The Diogenes Club scene, shooing Dr Watson away (pictured above). Wilmer starred alongside Patrick Troughton in Jason and the Argonauts and Tom Baker in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. Below you can compare him as Holmes and from tonight’s episode.
