CT was very, very funny last night. However, her character was so bizarre that I don't think Jim et al will be picking her to be manager. 🙁 Now, if she had said, "I can do that!" perhaps they would've been blown away in her interview. (Wouldn't that have been hilarious?)
Oh well, I suppose American audiences will just be denied her further brilliance for now. She's going to be a hit with David T on the stage, I'm sure.
I've never found the Office to be funny at the best of times, so I wasn't that impressed with the scene. I'm assuming it was scripted and not improvised. I can't really see Catherine becoming a regular based on this; there really wasn't anything to set her up as a character you'd want to see return. All that said, I thought Catherine herself did a great job, and I was pleasantly surprised that they let her keep her accent.
