Twelfth Doctor actor Peter Capaldi has been chatting to American publication Entertainment Weekly about Doctor Who Series 9 and more – read the full interview HERE. The feature also includes a new image from the opening episode, The Magician’s Apprentice – see above.
In the interview, Capaldi discusses companion Clara and Jenna Coleman, he says: “Jenna continues to deliver a beautifully nuanced, complex, and funny performance that marks her out as one of the best companions ever.”

On his co-star for The Girl Who Lived and The Woman Who Died, Maisie Williams, Capaldi comments: “Maisie is fantastic. All I’ll say about her character is she shifts in cosmic ways.”
On the image included above, Peter states that The Doctor is “about to make a mistake that has cataclysmic repercussions,” whilst adding that opening two-parter  contains, “some subtle tributes to the ’60s.” Read the full interview HERE.
