Doctor Who comes to Blackpool with Invasion: a special one day event celebrating six decades of the show

Viva! Blackpool and Crusader Events will be celebrating sixty years of Doctor Who with a dedicated one day convention next month: Invasion. The action all takes place on the 30th of April at the Viva! venue all day from 10am to 8pm. As well as the usual mix of guests, panels, merchandise and displays, there will be the world premiere of Doctor on Display, a new documentary narrated by Sophie Aldred dedicated to the Doctor Who Exhibition that made Blackpool its home in the 1970s and 80s. There’ll also be a monster making workshop and a showcase of select items from the Museum of Classic Sci-Fi!

You’ll even have the chance to hear one of the main writers of Blogtor Who, Bedwyr Gullidge, author of Doctor Who Exhibitions: The Unofficial and Unauthorised History discuss the subject.
