It’s time for the Professor to meet the Bohemian.

Big Finish have announced that volume four of ‘The Diary of River Song’ will see the eponymous archeologist meet the Fourth Doctor.

Tom Baker and Alex Kingston will work together for the box set due for release in August 2018. The range typically sees a January release (or as a Christmas Day surprise for series one and two) but series four has been brought forward. Volume five will follow in January 2019. Further details are yet to be announced.

The news completes River Song’s tour of the classic-era Doctors. The upcoming third series is due to pit her against Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor in January 2018. Kingston has already worked with Paul McGann, Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker in previous releases.
