Following the success of Doctor Who stories on vinyl record, Big Finish have announced another title to receive a limited edition vinyl release.

HMV will launch Doctor Who: Death and the Queen, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate, on 6th September 2019. It will be released as a numbered limited edition of 1250 on clear vinyl. The release will only be available in UK HMV stores.

Doctor Who: Death and the Queen was the third story of The Tenth Doctor Adventures released in May 2016. Check out our review here. This release saw David Tennant return to the role of The Doctor for the first time since 2013’s The Day of the Doctor. Joining him was Catherine Tate who made her last appearance as Donna Noble alongside Tennant on January 1st 2010. Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures – Death and the Queen was written by James Goss. The story was nominated for the best Audio Drama in the 22nd annual Audie Awards.

Synopsis

Donna Noble has never been lucky in love.

So when, one day, her Prince does come, she is thrilled to have the wedding of all weddings to look forward to. Though the Doctor isn’t holding his breath for an invitation. And her future mother-in-law is certainly not amused.

But on the big day itself, Donna finds her castle under siege from the darkest of forces, marching at the head of a skeleton army.

When it looks like even the Doctor can’t save the day, what will Queen Donna do to save her people from Death itself?

Doctor Who: Death and the Queen will be available on vinyl in UK HMV stores from 6th September 2019. A limited number are also available to preorder through store.hmv for £19.99.

Doctor Who: Death and the Queen is also available now from the Big Finish website. The title is priced at £10.99 on CD and £8.99 to download. The Big Finish App, available on Apple and Android devices, also makes listening even easier. It is a free app to download, just search in your app store
