We may be living in lockdown but it’s back to school for some. Two thrilling new volumes of Class: The Audio Adventures are out now!

Although the 2016 TV series, originally created by Patrick Ness for BBC Three, ran for just eight episodes, Big Finish’s fantastic audio spin-off is keeping the staff and classmates of Coal Hill Academy busy with another six adventures, released today.

Actor Dervla Kirwan said: “I’m a bit of a sci-fi geek. I just love doing jobs like this because it’s the imagination of the writing that really excites me. So to get to play this incredible, uncompromising super-bitch is very liberating, fun and spontaneous.

As a people-pleaser, it’s really lovely to play someone who is completely not that. Someone who is so literally unapologetic about who they are – or if they make people uncomfortable – that’s so liberating. The sheer audacity of the woman! It was deeply empowering to play a woman who really didn’t care.

Amanda Shodeko (Agen), McKenzie Alexander (Runthar), (Sakuntala Ramanee (Matriarch), Ian Abeysekera (Patriarch), Fady Elsayed (Ram) and Sophie Hopkins (April) (c) Big Finish
