The BBC Archive has been digging into files and found a delight here. Here’s an interview by Sue Lawley on Nationwide on 17th March 1983. She is taken on three brilliant actors — Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Peter Davison to discuss Doctor Who and the short clip is a delight.
The three Time Lords (Tom Baker couldn’t make it at the time) chat about everything from how they found their Doctor, to fan recognition and more. And what was interesting was Sue’s last question?
“When are we going get a female Doctor Who?”
Patrick Troughton’s answer made us smile.
Enjoy the blast into the past. And pass me another Jelly Baby.
