North American-based website Blu-ray.com are reporting that the genesis of Doctor Who drama An Adventure In Space & Time will be released on Bluray later this year. The Mark Gatiss film, which proved to be such a hit with fans last year, is due for release as a 3 disc package on May 27 in North America. Blu-ray.com are suggesting that the following contents will be included:
Disc 1: An Adventure in Space and Time Blu-ray
• Presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround
• The Making of An Adventure in Space and Time
• William Hartnell : The Original
• Regeneration: Doctors 1, 2 and 3, Re-cast
• Reconstruction: Four Sequences
• Farewell: David Bradley
• Christmas Greeting: David Bradley
• Titles Sequence
• Deleted Scene: Delia Derbyshire
Disc 2: An Unearthly Child Bonus DVD
• An Unearthly Child (1963): The first Doctor Who serial, featuring all four episodes
• Original Pilot of An Unearthly Child
Disc 3: An Adventure in Space and Time DVD
Currently, there is no official news on whether An Adventure in Space & Time will be released on Bluray in the UK, though it is expected to feature on the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection due later in the year – details HERE.
The BBC have informed me that it will not be released in the UK on Blu ray.
