Spend A Day at Devil’s End with the Doctor Who Appreciation Society in 2027
In May 2027, Doctor Who fans will once again have the opportunity to visit one of the show’s most iconic locations in the company of some of its most iconic stars. The Doctor Who Appreciation Society is giving fans the opportunity to spend A Day at Devil’s End. They’ll be hosting the day at the beautiful village of Aldbourne. The Wiltshire community provided the atmospheric location for The Dæmons, even today one of the most popular stories of the 1970s. The five episode serial brought the Third Doctor and Jo to the seemingly sleepy village of Devil’s End. But they quickly discover old enemy the Master is manipulating the locals into helping him raise the Dæmon Azal.
The new event builds on the legacy of those held by Who’s at the Playhouse in Aldbourne, who commented ‘“Reassuring to know that the future of Devil’s End is in safe hands,” to misquote the First Doctor!’
Doctors Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy head up the guest list so far
The event takes place in Aldbourne Memorial Hall, just a short walk from many sights familiar from The Dæmons. There will be interviews, panels, signing sessions, and photo opportunities. But most of all it’s a chance for a day out with fellow fans in charming surroundings. Confirmed guests so far as Sylvester McCoy (The Seventh Doctor), Paul McGann (The Eighth Doctor), and Daphne Ashbrook (Grace). This movie reunion makes the day a must not just for fans of 1971’s The Dæmons, but of the 1996 TV Movie.
DWAS will be announcing other guests between now and the Day at Devil’s End on the 8th of May, 2027.
Due to the special nature of the setting for this event, spaces are limited. Don’t miss your chance to return to Devil’s End and be part of a truly special celebration of Doctor Who’s past, present and future.
You can buy your tickets for this unique one day convention now via Eventbrite. Tickets cost £73.30, inluding booking fee.
