The BBC have confirmed the air date and the synopsis for episode 9 of Doctor Who series 10.
Empress Of Mars written by Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, Sherlock) and directed by Wayne Yip (Doctor Who spin-off Class) premieres on BBC One and BBC America on June 10th. UK air time to be confirmed.

The Doctor, Bill and Nardole arrive on Mars and find themselves in an impossible conflict between Ice Warriors… and Victorian soldiers.
As the Martian hive awakens around them, the Doctor faces a unique dilemma – this time the humans, not the Ice Warriors are the invaders. When Earth is invading Mars, whose side is he on?
The Doctor is played by Peter Capaldi with Pearl Mackie as Bill and Matt Lucas as Nardole.
This new series was shot in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock Studios and is produced by BBC Studios Wales.
