Today, Amazon and BBC Worldwide North America have announced a multi-year content licensing agreement to make Prime Video the exclusive U.S. subscription streaming home for the award-winning sc-fi series Doctor Who. This is great news for US fans following the departure of Doctor Who last month from Netflix and Hulu.
Prime members can enjoy series 1-8 along with all the Christmas special episodes, starting March 27, 2016 at no additional charge to their membership, through their mobile devices and on-line.
Season 9 and the 2015 Christmas Special, The Husbands of River Song starring Peter Capaldi and Alex Kingston will be available later this year.
If you haven’t already got Amazon Prime why not sign up for their 30-day trail now.
Doctor Who returns to our tv screens later this year for a new Christmas Special before we see a full series sometime in 2017.
